Description

 Eligibility rules

During registration, candidates:

  • the candidate registers in the Online Candidate Registration System (OCRS)

  • the candidate makes the payment to the individual account generated for each candidate in the OCRS

  • the candidate is obliged to put in the OCRS a PHOTO (in a .jpg file),

The following will be taken into consideration when qualifying candidates:

1) The result (grade) of graduation from a second-cycle programme, a single master’s programme or equivalent studies, certified by a diploma or a relevant certificate issued by the Dean’s office of the home faculty;

2) A written presentation of the planned research/ artistic project including:

a. The purpose of the research (including identification of the research problem to be solved as a result of the research and formulation of research hypotheses; justification for undertaking the research relating to the innovativeness of the research and the impact of the results on the development of the researched issue both in Poland and abroad);

b. Research methodology (identification of the research methods that the candidate intends to use in the planned research project);

c. A presentation of the current state of knowledge concerning the subject matter of the study, together with the primary literature on the subject;

3) A presentation of the topic and problems of the planned research/ artistic project, taking into account the innovativeness of the solutions to the problem; the possibilities of project realisation (technical/ workshop and scientific/ artistic) will be assessed, so will be the probability of realisation of the project during the period of education at the JDU Doctoral School and an insight into issues in the discipline which the applicant has indicated in the proceedings that are relevant to the planned research project;

4) The candidate's scientific and/or artistic achievements to date in relation to the selected discipline: monographs, scientific articles, participation in scientific conferences/ exhibitions/ competitions and, project realisations, concerts and recordings;

5) In the case of the fine arts and art conservation and music disciplines, the Examination Committee will require the presentation of selected original works or the presentation of documentation of the works in an electronic version allowing the works to be assessed, with the Committee reserving the right to determine the form and manner of presentation of the candidate’s work;

6) Assessment of soft skills (ability to cope with stress, logical thinking, adaptability, assertiveness, motivation, communication skills and personal culture).
